Who doesn’t start their day by checking the day’s weather forecast? We regret it every time we don’t, and we count on those forecasts being right. But how are those forecasts made? What technologies go into their production? And what about the impact of those forecasts on our daily commutes, vacations, business travel and business shipments, and the safety of our families, our homes and the nation's infrastructure?
We’ll hear from two Southeast and West Michigan broadcast meteorologists, and from two National Weather Service (NWS) meteorologists, on the training, tools and techniques they use to understand and explain the weather.
